I thought David Wiley's idea of coming up with an approachable and relatable way of measuring the impact of OER was fantastic. It is easy to understand and use, and it shines the light on the important pieces of OER's impact: savings (with a weight of 1), scale (with a weight of 2), and success (with a weight of 4, because ultimately the goal is student success). I created an infographic that explains each piece of the formula and gives the formulas for computing each piece concluding with OER impact. I hope it helps institutions (and all of us) a way to measure impact while keeping things in balance.
