Poster for Planning

As I mentioned in my blog about learning from Heather Morin this week , elementary educators need to plan the ways in which we use OER differently than educators in the higher grades. We have to consider the child's needs to move around, to be in nature, to play, and to manipulate objects. We also need to limit screen time and, like every educator, reduce the amount of lectures and boring worksheets. As a helpful guide for my future planning, I created a poster for planning ethical and educational ways of replacing lectures and worksheets for Science and History classes. Most of these cost little or nothing, could be used in-person or remotely, and allow variety to keep things interesting....for the teacher, too!
