Where Did You Spend That Savings?

After 2000 students at Brigham Young University in 2017 took classes in which OER replaced the class’s textbook, the students were surveyed and asked to where they reallocated the costs of the textbook. The graph shows their answers and gives support to the notion that OER could help students potentially graduate earlier by making it possible to cover more classes, but also that OER could reduce the housing and food crisis for college students.
